How To Crochet A Flamingo

This has been a project that has been travelling with me over the past month. It's been from Leeds to London (and back again), to Dorset and Nottingham. I am so happy to have finished her, as she's my second crochet project for me to complete. We were contacted by TOFT to see if we wanted to have a go at a crochet project from their new book 'Edward's Menagerie: Birds' by Kerry Lord. The book contains 40 birds to crochet and are grouped by difficulty and include step-by-step technical guides for beginners. This book is perfect for all crafters with varying abilities. You can also crochet all the birds in different sizes, meaning you have 160 feathered friends to create.

I think my favourite thing about this book is the quirky descriptions of all the birds, you learn all about their personalities which really makes them all come to life. I chose to crochet Sophia the flamingo with gorgeous TOFT Alpaca yarn in their sophisticated colour palate. I can't wait for my next feathered friend to fly off my crochet hook, I've got my eye on Alan the Magpie.

If you want to get yours hands on this lovely little book, just head over to the TOFT website. You can also get all of your yarn supplies there too. I think these little fellas would make super cute Christmas presents, so I best get cracking really! Let me know if you give any of them a go!
Happy crocheting!
