Why hello again!
It has been a while, hasn't it? So sorry about our absence, but you know how life runs away with you! However, we are back with a delightful little post that we really hope you enjoy (also, do you like the new layout?!). Anywho, as I'm sure you are all aware, the Company Magazine #StyleBloggerAwards are back and this year they are sponsored by the wonderful Missguided! Last year we were lucky enough to walk away as winners of the 'Best Craft Blog' award and Missguided have asked us to pick our fave items from their site and tell you all what it meant for us to win our award last year.
Firstly, the fact that we were even considered and nominated by you guys for the Company Magazine award meant the world to us, so attending a delightful event alongside some of our favourite bloggers on a sunny London evening was a privilege in itself. The run up to the Company Awards 2013 was probably the best week we have had in our four-year long friendship. Having just completed all of our university assignments (ever!) and spending the week making the most of the sunshine, the awards just topped off a pretty spectacular 6 months. We can't tell you how surprised we were when our name was announced as the winner. It was one of those moments when time stands still and we ended up just staring at each other, not really knowing what to do! We were so humbled, and we can't tell you what it means to us knowing that you guys love reading about what we love doing!
We started TWB up as a little experiment, and a means of escape from the pressure of uni deadlines. We never thought that it would reach such heights and we would be recognised by such prestigious institutions, like Company Magazine. Since winning our award we have been lucky enough to write a weekly DIY fashion column for the Company Magazine Weekly Edit App, have a three page feature in Office Shoes nationwide magazine, chatted about crafty fashion with Gemma Cairney on BBC Radio 1 (twice!), and contributed to one of the UK's biggest selling craft magazines, Mollie Makes. What lucky devils we have been!
