DIY Leather Gilet

How to make your own:

You will need:
An old leather jacket
Super glue, or fabric glue
Fabric scissors
Studs

Step 1: Mark on your leather jacket where you want to cut. You need to leave about 4cm of extra material so you can glue it.
Step 2: Cut off the sleeves.
Step 3: Fold the material under and pin the extra material around the sleeves under to form a nice neat edge.
Step 4: Using super glue, or fabric glue, glue the material to the inside of your jacket. The create a neat edge, it is wise to double hem the material that is folded under. For this part I used Gorilla Super Glue as it is tough but doesn't go rigid when dry. Leave to dry!
Step 5: Finish off with studs!

What do you think? I think it's a great piece to encompass the Punk trend that seems to be making a revival!
