The Amazings

We wanted to share something with you today that we think is really great! A lot of the basic skills that we have, from sewing to card making, were techniques and abilities passed down to us from our parents or grandparents. My older sister taught me how to use a sewing machine and my Mum has always been creative, so has encouraged my artistic flare. By learning from them, we have been able to adapt and develop those basic skills and create things that you all read about here on TWB. The idea of learning from elders and trying new things is the foundation of 'The Amazings', which is an online resource for all things crafty. They provide video tutorials featuring elders with wisdom and "amazing life experience" in specific areas of the arts. There are tutorials by seamstresses and accessory up-cyclers, to ukulele players and bookbinders, so there is something for everyone. The Amazings pass on nifty tricks and tips that only arrive from life experience and trail and error, therefore making them an invaluable source of information. So if you are looking into trying something new, want a new crafty project, or just need a little help in perfecting your creativity, check out what The Amazings can do for you!

The Amazings has offered Trends With Benefits readers a FREE crafty class worth £20! So to get involved and redeem a free class and tutorial of your choice, click HERE.
