The TWB girls are big fans of the good old elbow patch, so thought i'd show you a really easy DIY trick for making your own patches. This really is such a simple trick as you can buy iron-on elbow patches to make your life so much easier! I purchased these patches from Leeds Market for about £1.20, but you will be able to get them from any market or haberdashery.
To make my patches a little different I also decided to change the shape and make them into stars, but it might also be nice to make hearts or crosses for example.
Step 1: Create a paper stencil of your desired shape, this way your 2 patches will be identical.
Step 2: Draw onto the pack of each patch and cut out.
Step 3: Before attaching the patches, try your cardigan on and draw a cross on your elbow, this way you'll get the patches in exactly the right place. Then just make sure the middle of the patch sits over the cross.
Step 4: On the back of each patch is a thin layer of glue, which when ironed will melt and fuse your patch to the cardigan! So simply lay out the sleeve and run the iron over the patch for about a minute.
